Privacy Policy
We treat the information you share with us as confidential and collect only what we need to provide services.
Information we collect
We collect information you voluntarily provide through our website forms — such as your name, email address, phone number, and the details of your request — when you contact us, apply to volunteer, apply for employment, or request a screening. We may also collect limited, non-identifying technical information (such as pages visited) to keep the site reliable and accessible.
How we use it
Information is used only to respond to your request, deliver case management and supportive services, evaluate applications, and meet our reporting obligations. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Sharing
We share information only with your consent, with service providers who help operate this website under confidentiality obligations, or where required by law, court order, or the terms of a program in which you are enrolled.
Security and retention
Submissions are transmitted over encrypted connections and stored in access-controlled systems available only to authorized staff. We retain records for as long as needed to provide services and satisfy legal and funding requirements, then dispose of them securely.
Your choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the information you submitted through this website by emailing Info@mainepretrial.org. Please do not send sensitive medical or legal details by email.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not use analytics, advertising, or social media tracking scripts, and we do not sell or share information with data brokers. The only cookies and browser storage we use are strictly necessary ones: a secure session cookie for staff who sign in to our internal case-management dashboard, and short-lived values needed to submit a form. Because we set no non-essential cookies, no consent banner is required. If we ever add analytics or similar tracking, we will publish a consent banner and update this policy before doing so.
What our forms collect
Our screening request form collects your name, date of birth, your typed signature, and the answers you provide, and stores them in our access-controlled database for staff review. Our contact form collects your name, email address, and message and sends them to our staff inbox through a third-party form service. Employment inquiries are sent by email. We do not require an account to use any public page of this site.
